My husband shot the reference photo for this painting, in a forest near where we live, and he wanted me to paint it.
The photo was taken in the fall, at Hove. Tromøya in Arendal, Norway. This is a forest that we have come to love.
We bring our kids there a LOT, and almost every time we have guests from out of town, we bring them here too.
Painting this piece was a challenge, so many details, and this was my first time painting a realistic forest, but NOT my last!
